The challenge
A community organization managing shared funds had no reliable way to show members exactly where money came from, where it went, and who approved each entry. Records lived in spreadsheets that could be edited after the fact, so every financial report was met with the same question: how do we know this is accurate?
The system
A ledger system records every contribution, expense, and correction permanently, linking each entry to the one before it. The full account history can always be reconstructed and verified. Corrections do not overwrite history. They appear as linked entries, so nothing changes silently.
How it works
Administrators log entries through a straightforward form; members view a running timeline of their organization's activity with running balances that always add up. Every entry shows who recorded it and when, and a dedicated corrections log makes any adjustment fully traceable back to the original entry.
